Simple Oil Pie Crust
Quantities for: One pie crust without top
Time: 20 min
Difficulty: easy

This Oil Pie Crust is quick, easy and uses oil instead of shortening which has bad fats in it.

[edit] Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 c. flour
  • 1/3 c. vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. water

[edit] Utensils

  • 1 bowl
  • Rolling pin
  • Aluminum or glass pie pan

[edit] Preparation

  1. Mix the flour and salt in your bowl.
  2. Make a hole in the flour and in this hole pour the water and oil.
  3. Use your hands to mix the dry and wet ingredients together (you may add a little more water if you find the dough is not sticking together).
  4. Roll the dough out between two sheets of wax paper.
  5. Form the dough to your pie pan and bake at 350 degrees fahrenheit for about 10 minutes or until golden. Note: If you are putting a top layer of crust on your pie, be sure there are slits in the top for the air to escape.
