Strawberry Chocolate Chip Cake

Ingredients

1 pgk white cake mix

1 pgk strawberry gelatin

2(6oz) containers strawberry yogurt

4 eggs

1 cup fresh strawberries chopped

1 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chip

1 cup walnuts chopped


1 cup strawberry preserve

1 can chocolate frosting

2 9in round cake pans

1 large mixing bowl

1 medium mixing bowl

Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease both 9in pans and set aside.

2. Place cake mix, gelatin, yogurt and eggs in a large mixing bowl and mix until batter looks thick and smooth.

3. Add 1 cup fresh strawberries (save other cup for filling), chocolate chips and walnuts to the batter and stir all the contents together.

4. Divide batter equally into the 9in pans then place in the oven. Bake for 35-40min or until an inserted wooden pick comes out clean. Let cake cool on cooling rack for about 20min.

5. While cake is cooling place strawberry preserve and 1 cup fresh strawberries in medium mixing bowl and stir ingredients together to make cake filling.

6. Place one cake layer on a serving plate then spread with strawberry fruit filling. Top with remaining cake layer.

7. Frost top and sides of cake with chocolate frosting then serve.
